Nevadans are being squeezed at every turn by corporations robbing from our state budgets and our pockets. For too long, our government has been dominated by corporate interests and profits. In the past years,  corporations like Tesla, the Raiders, the A’s have been granted billions of dollars in state resources for stadiums, gigafactories, and tunnels, while policies that will help our families like free lunch for K-12 students

Corporations like Nevada Energy, Southwest Gas, and Progress Residential  have made the cost of living unaffordable for working class Nevadans as they see record profits year after year. When Nevadans need solutions politicians like Joe Lombardo, prefer to point fingers at immigrants rather than to go after the corporations harming Nevadans while they hand out billions to corporations for another stadium.

That’s why we need to elect people from our community, for our community, that will stand against data centers causing increased utility rates and hold corporate landlords accountable. PLAN Action is supporting Assemblyman Jovan Jackson for those exact reasons! He’s been a leader in and out of office, advocating for justice reform and putting people before profits. When Assemblyman Jackson stood up to these politicians and their corporate donors, he got primaried by corporate interests with candidates that will protect their profits, not the people.

There is a lot at risk this election but also an opportunity to deliver wins for working class Nevadans. This change starts at the grassroots level with turning out to vote for local candidates like Assemblyman Jackson who will champion our community and can have a more direct impact in our lives. Together we can build a Nevada and an economy that works for all of us regardless of the size of your bank account, the color of your skin, or the country you were born in.

This election, let’s put our people’s power into action and vote for a better Nevada.
